Leket Israel believes in providing healthy and nutritious food to the needy. The organization's cooperative purchasing department, which aims to help nonprofit organizations (NPOs) make group purchases, focuses on products that are healthy and nutritious.

As an umbrella organization for NPO cooperative purchases, Leket Israel helps NPOs realize savings through reduced prices. The cooperative purchasing department focuses on acquiring high-protein products:
• Proteins including meat, fish, poultry, turkey, eggs, canned tuna, and sardines. • Whole grains and legumes such as peas, chickpeas, lentils, tachina, couscous and rice—to provide basic nutrient-rich plant proteins.
To encourage the purchase of significant levels of proteins and whole grains by NPOs, Leket Israel offers subsidies of up to 15% towards the purchase of these products. In addition, the cooperative purchasing department sells discounted food vouchers to NPOs that have an up to date Section 46 certificate from the Israeli government.
In this way, Leket Israel helps NPOs increase the number of needy people served and who will benefit from a regular supply of healthy nutritious foods, high in protein.
