Leket Israel Offering Helps Feed Isra...
For two years, First Baptist Church of Katy has taken a summer Leket offering. Through our partnership with Leket Israel, approximately 6 pounds of food is gleaned from farms or rescued from catering events for every $1 given. This year’s Leket offering is specifically designated to helping elderly holocaust victims living in retirement centers in 12 cities in Israel.

Congregants of Temple Emanu-El and Wilshire Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas recently joined together for a Journey through Israel. NEW YORK LAW JOURNAL (LAW.COM) - Nov. 25, 2011. A charitable giving project entitled ''Pay It Forward'' sponsored by the Law Firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges' New York office raised nearly $175K for 30 local and int'l charities. Weil Associate, Yossie Horowitz led the employee group that raised the most money for a single charity - $32K for Leket Israel, Israel's National Food Bank.
