Leket Israel Offering Helps Feed Isra...
For two years, First Baptist Church of Katy has taken a summer Leket offering. Through our partnership with Leket Israel, approximately 6 pounds of food is gleaned from farms or rescued from catering events for every $1 given. This year’s Leket offering is specifically designated to helping elderly holocaust victims living in retirement centers in 12 cities in Israel.

DETROIT JEWISH NEWS - Thursday, June 21, 2012. Detroit's Hillel Day School 8th-graders picked 3,500 pounds of potatoes to help feed hungry Israelis on a trip to Israel this spring. The student group took time on their trip to harvest crops in support of Leket Israel, Israel's National Food Bank.
